Job Title – Business Development Manager

Salary – £50k – £56k + Bonus (OTE £70k+)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join the sales team of a national company that supplies specialist equipment to the construction industry. Our client has a great reputation in the industry and is seeking a confident and dynamic business development manager with a hunger and talent for winning new business and developing existing business within tier 1 and tier 2 contractors across the South East.

Role

• Reporting to the Divisional Director
• Responsible for identifying, evaluating and creating bespoke / major project opportunities within a specialist field.
• Generating and increasing business opportunities to build lasting relationships and delivery revenue results.
• Develop sales strategies and tactics to maximize revenue.
• Understand market drivers and opportunities for development
• Negotiate specific trading agreements with customers.
• Gain expert insight into new schemes and projects being released.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years’ experience in a field-based sales role.
• Have experience within the construction, civil engineering or hire industry.
• You should have the ability to build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships.
• Must have a good technical ability / understanding within construction.
• Have dealt with Tier 1 & Tier 2 contractors.
