Job Title – Head of Purchasing
Location – Rugby
Salary – £50k / annum + 8% bonus
Package – OTE £54k + Car + Pension

The Role:

As the Head of Purchasing, you’ll identify gains in the UK stock utilisation through improved processes and working practice whilst ensuring effective liaison between Operations and Sales regarding delivery dates of equipment. Managing a small team, you will ensure that expenditure budgets are not exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and developing a team of 5 within purchasing
• Excellent forward thinking and planning skills
• UK stock utilisation through improved processes.
• Effective liaison between Operations and Sales
• Focus on purchasing to ensure expenditure budgets are not exceeded
• Ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Requirements:

• Experience of stock purchasing and management including excess material management (ideally with the construction industry).
• Ability to offer technical solutions to the UK stock profile
• Creation and understanding of complex spreadsheets
• Ideally from a technical background coupled with an import / export understanding
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills
• Confident and assertive with a self-motivated approach and flexible attitude
• A professional approach that generates confidence in others
• Effective team working and networking skills and the ability to work independently using own initiative
• Strong time management skills
• Able to balance multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
